Based in Yorkshire

Unlike some of our national competitors, we're based in Yorkshire, just off the M1 at junction 39 in Wakefield. From here we can cover all of the West and South Yorkshire region. As we don't have a call centre or national overheads we can pass these cost savings on to you. We're also not a waste broker and do all of the jobs ourselves.

Re-use

We always try to reuse or recycle every item we collect. We bring the waste back to our site and if an item can be reused, we store it and either re-market or donate it to charity.

Landfill

Items will be taken from your site to a fully licensed waste transfer station. The waste is segregated and processed. Diversion rate from landfill is typically 85%, facility dependent.

Recycling

If items can’t be used but can be recycled, they are stored, bulked up and sent to an Authorised Treatment Facility. Residual waste at Yes Waste management is taken to fully licensed waste transfer stations.

Hazardous waste

Waste such as fridges, CRT televisions or monitors and fluorescent tubes are classed as hazardous. This equipment has to be recycled at specialist Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATFs). At these facilities it is treated and processed. Following processing the raw materials are recycled.

Green waste

Green waste is taken to licensed waste transfer stations. It is eventually taken to compositing facilities.

Bulky waste

As one of the most cost saving rubbish clearances services, we collect hundreds of sofas, beds, desks, tables and chairs from house clearances and office clearances. If the items can be reused the destination can be one of a network of charities and reuse organisations that we work in collaboration with. If the items cannot be reused then they are disposed of at licensed waste transfer stations. They will be shredded and the components recycled.

WEEE / Electrical waste

WEEE stands for waste electrical and electronic equipment. It is an EU Directive that aims to reduce the amount of waste electrical and electronic equipment that ends up in landfill. It can include computers, mobile phones, kettles, dishwashers, almost anything with a plug or batteries. Similar to bulky waste collected, if the items can be reused the destination can be one of reuse organisations that we work in collaboration with. Alternatively the items can be broken down and the components are sent to various industries to be reprocessed.

Construction waste

Construction waste or trade waste disposal can include inert waste such as brick, rubble, tiles or concrete. This waste is taken to transfer stations where it may be crushed and reused in building projects. Other construction waste that can be recycled are metal and wood wastes. Some construction waste is more complicated to recycle such as plasterboard. Plasterboard has to be taken to specialist facilities so it will not end up in landfills.

Wood waste

Wood waste has different categories, A, B and C. Which category is dependent upon the type of wood it is. The wood waste collected is taken to waste transfer stations. The majority of it ends up being shredded and used to make other wood products.
