WEEE Waste Collection Service from Yes Waste

If your dealer or retailer is unable to collect your WEEE waste, Yes Waste can come and collect it from your office or premises. You might find that you need an external company following an IT upgrade and the supplier is unable to remove the old machines.

Example WEEE Waste Collections:

  • Single items like a photocopier, printer or server,
  • Computer equipment, phones
  • Appliances like cookers, fridges and freezers
  • Mixed items, like IT Equipment with furniture and general waste
  • Hazardous waste – see below.

Anything we pick up will be taken to our facility in Wakefield where we do first stage recycling. We also have a network of partners where some of the specialist WEEE recycling takes place.

Where can we collect your WEEE Waste?

Yes Waste is based in Wakefield. We cover  West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire, particularly Leeds, Huddersfield and Sheffield.

If you’re based anywhere nearby our WEEE Waste Collection Teams can come to collect anything you need to be disposed of.

Just call us to arrange an appointment on 0800 058 2522.

Some IT Equipment is classed as Hazardous Electrical Waste...

Exactly what counts as hazardous can be complicated, and depends on the parts used in each device. If you aren’t sure, call Yes Waste’s WEEE Waste Collection Team on 0800 058 2522 and we’ll be happy to advise. Cameras, projectors and photocopiers are all hazardous IT equipment when being disposed of. Examples of hazardous waste include:

  • Equipment with screens, especially old-style monitors with cathode ray tubes
  • Fridges and freezers – anything with a refrigerant gas or liquid.
  • Printed Circuit Boards which contain nickel, capacitors and certain transistors
  • Lead Acid batteries
  • Fluorescent light bulbs tubes

Our WEEE Waste Collection Teams can collect all of these, but you may need to identify it when we make a quote.

All our collections generate a Waste Transfer Note, but its especially important for Hazardous IT Equipment Disposal.
