When you get in touch, we’ll ask for details about the fridge, such as its make, model, dimensions, and location within your premises. This allows us to provide a fixed-price quote with no hidden extras. If the fridge is in a basement, upstairs, or in a confined space, we’ll factor in the correct handling equipment and manpower to make the job straightforward.
On the day of collection, our trained two-person team will arrive with all required tools, PPE, and moving gear. If the fridge is still connected to power or water lines, we can safely disconnect it before removal. For larger installations, like walk-in cold rooms, we can dismantle them on site so they can be removed safely and without damage to your property.
Once loaded, the fridge is taken to a licensed WEEE recycling facility. There, the refrigerant gases, insulation foam, and any hazardous substances are carefully removed under controlled conditions. Metals, plastics, and glass are separated for recycling, helping to reduce waste going to landfill.
At the end of the job, we’ll issue a Waste Transfer Note as proof that your fridge was collected and disposed of in full compliance with UK waste regulations.
