What can you put in these skips?

Here at Yes Waste we are very transparent about what items you can put into our skips, including:

Inert waste such as brick, asphalt, cement, concrete, stone, tiles, ceramics, soils, clays, or a hardcore mix.
Green waste such as hedge cuttings, grass cuttings, turf, trees, bushes.
Wood such as timber, mdf, chipboard & pallets
Metals & plastics
General household rubbish and junk
General commercial rubbish such as office stationary, cupboards, filing cabinets, office chairs, pedestals or just general waste that you would throw in the bin.

Please Note:
If you are looking to dispose of mattresses, tyres, fridges & plasterboard a supplement will apply.

What do we not accept in the skips?

Although you can put the majority of items within our skips, there are some items that we do not accept, including:

Asbestos
Gas canisters or gas bottles
Hazardous chemicals

Please Note:
We can remove hazardous waste streams via our dedicated waste removal service. If you have these waste streams please get in touch for a dedicated price

How much waste can you fit in the skips?

To help provide you with a clear idea of how much our skips can hold, we use the following criteria:

Our 8-yard skips can hold between 70 and 80 full bin bags
Our 16-yard skips can hold between between 140 and 160 full bin bags

Please Note:
We offer a variety of skips, including drop door or walk-in skips (8 yards only), enclosed skips, and lockable skips.

Are there any other charges?

If the skip is not located on private land, you will require a permit from Halifax council. This permit is an additional charge, however, we can arrange this on your behalf if you wish.
